Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on or using Fitrah (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Fitrah is a character-based matchmaking platform for Muslims seeking marriage. We provide:

• A 24-question Character Assessment grounded in personality psychology (Big Five, attachment theory, Gottman research) and Islamic values
• An AI-generated Character Profile based on your assessment responses
• Compatibility matching (launching region by region, starting with New Zealand)

Matching is not yet live in all regions. If you sign up from a region where matching has not launched, you can still create your profile and will be notified when matching opens in your area.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Fitrah. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate and truthful. If we learn that a user is under 18, their account and data will be deleted.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to:

• Provide truthful and accurate information in your profile and assessment
• Not create multiple accounts or impersonate others
• Notify us at hello@findfitrah.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

5. User Conduct

You agree to:

• Treat other users with respect and dignity
• Not use the Service for harassment, fraud, or any unlawful purpose
• Not attempt to access other users' data or circumvent security measures
• Not scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the platform

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards without prior notice.

6. Assessment & AI-Generated Content

Your Character Assessment responses are processed by AI (Anthropic's Claude) to generate your Character Profile. You should understand that:

• AI-generated profiles are reflective tools, not clinical or psychological diagnoses
• The accuracy of your profile depends on the honesty and thoughtfulness of your responses
• Character Profiles should inform, not replace, your personal judgment, family counsel, or istikhara
• We may update our AI models and assessment methodology over time, which could change how profiles are generated

7. No Guarantees

Fitrah does not guarantee marriage outcomes, compatibility, or the accuracy of any insights, scores, or match predictions. Our assessments are tools to support your decision-making. We are a platform that facilitates introductions — the decision to pursue a relationship is yours alone.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, assessment questions, algorithms, and technology on Fitrah are owned by Badir Studio Ltd and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your Character Profile content is yours to share, but the underlying system that generates it is ours.

9. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@findfitrah.com. We will process deletions within 30 days.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Fitrah is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, interactions with other users, or decisions made based on our assessments or matching. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
